What is PRF EZ Gel?
PRF EZ Gel is a regenerative injectable created from your own blood that uses concentrated growth factors and fibrin to stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality naturally, and SG Aesthetics & Wellness offers PRF EZ Gel treatments in Charleston to restore volume and enhance smoother, healthier-looking skin.
What are the Benefits?
- Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, is a natural injectable treatment designed to restore volume and refresh the skin using your body’s own regenerative properties.
- By stimulating cellular renewal, PRP helps improve discoloration, reduce the appearance of scarring, and enhance overall skin texture and tone.
- It also supports collagen production, helping to soften fine lines, improve elasticity, and promote a healthy, radiant glow.

How Much Do PRF EZ Gel Treatments Cost?
The total cost of your PRF EZ Gel treatment will vary based upon the extent of treatment needed to help you achieve your desired results. During your consultation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan, and you will be informed of your treatment costs and methods of payment. We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. We also offer financing options to make our treatments more affordable.
How does it work?
PRF EZ Gel is obtained by mixing the growth factors of liquid PRF EZ Gell and the Albumin of Plasma. This is achieved by the centrifugation and heating process of a whole blood sample without chemicals or modifications. PRF EZ Gel provides innovative, flexible consistency allowing the gel’s viscosity to adapt to the various areas of treatment.

What to Expect at Your Appointment?
- We recommend scheduling your PRP gel appointment at least two weeks before any important event. Mild swelling or bruising can occur and may take several days to fully resolve.
- To help reduce the risk of bruising, it may be advisable to avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or NSAIDs in the days surrounding your treatment. Please consult your primary care provider before adjusting or discontinuing any prescribed medication.
- Treatment cannot be performed on areas with an active rash, irritation, or infection.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, written clearance from your OB-GYN is required prior to your appointment.
- Your comfort is a priority. A topical numbing cream or local anesthetic is used prior to treatment to help ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
- A small amount of blood is then drawn to isolate your platelet-rich plasma. This process is quick and performed with care.
- Your PRP is carefully processed and transformed into a gel-like consistency before being strategically injected into targeted areas to restore volume and support skin rejuvenation.
- You may notice subtle volume immediately, with continued improvement in skin tone, texture, and radiance developing over the following 4 to 6 weeks as collagen production increases.
- Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness can occur after treatment and typically resolves within a few days.
- If you experience discomfort, acetaminophen may be used as needed. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications unless otherwise directed by your provider.
- Because the skin has been treated, keep the area clean and avoid saunas, strenuous workouts, excessive sweating, swimming, or makeup application for at least 24 hours.
- If the under-eye area was treated, gently massage the area twice daily for five days, as instructed by your provider.
- To support proper healing, limit alcohol intake and avoid activities that may increase swelling during the first 24 to 48 hours.
- Please postpone additional aesthetic treatments such as lasers, peels, facials, or microdermabrasion for at least two weeks.
- Contact your provider promptly if you experience unusual or worsening pain, significant swelling, redness, blistering, or itching after your treatment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Both PRP and PRP gel use your body’s own platelet-rich plasma to support natural skin rejuvenation and collagen stimulation.
The key difference lies in the consistency and purpose. Traditional PRP is more fluid and primarily focused on improving skin tone, texture, and overall quality. PRP gel is processed into a thicker, gel-like form, allowing it to provide additional structure and subtle volume while still stimulating collagen production.
In addition to enhancing texture and radiance, PRP gel offers added support for areas that benefit from improved firmness, contour, and skin integrity.
Dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a gel-like substance that adds immediate volume beneath the skin.
PRP gel, on the other hand, is created from your body’s own growth factors. In addition to restoring volume, it works to stimulate collagen production over time, improve overall skin quality, soften the appearance of fine lines, and promote a naturally refreshed, radiant look.

It is common to experience some redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness immediately after injections. If you have an upcoming social event or work commitment, you may want to plan your appointment accordingly.
Because PRP supports the body’s natural healing process, these temporary effects typically improve within a short period as the skin recovers.
You may notice an immediate improvement in volume following your treatment, although part of this is related to temporary swelling. Your true, long-term results become more visible over the next 4 to 6 weeks as collagen production gradually increases.
For optimal outcomes, we typically recommend two treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. To maintain your results, 1 to 2 maintenance treatments per year may be advised, depending on your individual goals and skin condition.
